Recap - Innovative solutions for chronic diseases
Promotion of Carolien van der Linden from the Catharina Hospital Eindhoven
Prof. dr. Erik Korsten from the Catharina Hospital Eindhoven, partner in de Recap project, is the first promotor of PhD Carolien van der Linden, clinical geriatrician and clinical pharmacologist at the Catharina Hospital. Carolien her dissertation is about adverse drug reactions in individual patient care. Part of this dissertation was the IEP project, which also served as input for hub 2 in the Recap project. The IEP project is a transmural (health care provisions that are provided by a number of institutions and/or care-providers) project which focuses on systematic electronic communication between hospital and general practioner concerning harmful medicines for a specific patient. This form of telehealth is a first step. In the future the IEP project can possibly be extended to providing this information directly to the patient in question. It can also be up scaled to other forms of medical information like heartfailure patients.
The ceremony takes place at the TU/e on Thursday, June 27th at 16:00.
Location: auditorium Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven.
